Authenticating DVME with Multiple User Accounts

If DVME is authenticated on a shared computer with multiple user accounts, it is only authenticated for the user that is logged in. The DVME software can be run by any user logged into the computer, but it will run in demo mode for any user that has not authenticated the software while logged in. The software can be authenticated by any and all users on that computer using the same product code, however, and will not require any administrator approval to authenticate.

Buy/Register ButtonIn order to authenticate another user to use DVME, click on the Buy/Register button at the top of the DVME software as shown on the right.

Online Activation

Next, select Online Activation as shown here: 

On the next screen, enter the product code provided by Discover Video to authenticate the DVME software. Once submitted, you should see a confirmation screen confirming that the product has been authenticated and ready to use.

After exiting the authentication wizard, you may need to restart the DVME software if you still see the Buy/Register button at the top of the DVME screen.

Note: When the DVME software is updated to a newer version, it will update the software for any and all users on that compputer. If you are upgrading DVME from a user account that does not have administrator privileges, however, an administrator username and password may need to be entered in order to install the new version of DVME depending on how the computer's security settings are configured.
