Changing Content with a DEVOS IPTV List on a Set Top Box (for models MAG540 and MAG540w3)
This help article specifically addresses the Set Top Box for models MAG540 and MAG540w3 only. This method is different on previous models.
One way to load live and on-demand video content on a Discover Video Set Top Box is to load the content list from a channel in DEVOS. Once you have a channel created in DEVOS with the live and on-demand videos that you want to view on the Set Top Box assigned to it, you are ready to load the content onto the Set Top Box. If you make changes to the content on the channel in DEVOS, however, it will not automatically update to all of your Set Top Boxes. Instead, you must clear and reload the content in each Set Top Box to ensure that the content is synced with what is on the channel in DEVOS. This article will explain how to make this change on each Set Top Box.
Step One - Clear the old content
- Go to the list of IPTV Channels on the Set Top Box.
- Click the Menu button (see below) to open the IPTV Channels menu.
- Click Select all (third option from the top).
- Click the Menu button again to open the IPTV Channels menu.
- Click Delete from the menu.
- Click the Menu button again to open the IPTV Channels menu.
- Select Save changes.
Step Two - Load the new content
- Click the Menu button again to open the IPTV Channels menu.
- Click Add IPTV List.
- Your previous list address should still be in the URL field. If so, click OK to load the current list of content.
- Click the Menu button again to open the IPTV Channels menu.
- Select Save changes.
It is vital that you be sure to always click Save changes whenever any changes are made. Otherwise, the device will revert to whatever its last saved content list is the next time the device restarts.
