Managing Priority Alert Zones

Managing Priority Alert Zones

NOTE: To create or delete Priority Alert Zones, a user must have access to the DEVOS Super Portal.
In order to fire a DEVOS Priority Alert to digital signage devices such as SignStick or computers running the Priority Alert desktop application, a zone must be targetted for the Priority Alert to be fired in. The Priority Alert can then be fired on any device that has the targeted zone as one of the zones it is set to receive alerts in. This means that the zone must already exist and be set to at least one device prior to creating or activating the Priority Alert. These zones are located in the Super Portal under DEVOS Settings on the Manage Active Priority Alerts and Zones tab.

To create a new zone, click on Add New Zone and enter the name of the zone.
The priority alert name cannot include any spaces, punctuation, or special characters.

Editing an Existing Zone

Priority alerts cannot be edited. In order to change the name of the zone, a new zone must be created with the new name. You can then reassign any priority alerts set to fire in that zone to the new zone prior to deleting the old zone. To delete the zone, simply highlight the zone you wish to delete and click the Delete button below the list of zones. You will then receive the following warning:

Delete zone warning

As the warning says, any Priority Alerts that are set to a zone that is deleted will also be deleted. The Priority Alert would then have to be recreated. To avoid this, be sure to reassign any existing Priority Alerts to another zone before deleting the zone.
