Replacing SignStick CMOS Batteries for Older SignSticks
This support article refers specifically to the SignStick model shown in the image below. If your SignStick is different than this model, this article may not apply to your device.
The SignStick devices have a small battery inside that allows the device to save its BIOS settings when not powered. It is possible for this battery to die, however, and when this happens the device is unable to retain its BIOS settings. One important setting that this can cause problems with is the setting to ensure that the device boots up automatically whenever power is provided to the device. This is is an important setting to ensure the device comes back on after an event such as a power outage.
