Replacing SignStick CMOS Batteries for Older SignSticks

SignStick Digital Signage Media Player

The SignStick devices have a small battery inside that allows the device to save its BIOS settings when not powered. It is possible for this battery to die, however, and when this happens the device is unable to retain its BIOS settings. One important setting that this can cause problems with is the setting to ensure that the device boots up automatically whenever power is provided to the device. This is is an important setting to ensure the device comes back on after an event such as a power outage.

Battery Replacement Instruction

The following video provides instructions on how to open the device and install the new battery.

Opening the SignStick device will invalidate any warranty that may still be on your device. If your device is still in warranty, or if you are unsure if this is the case, contact Discover Video Support for more information.
