Digital Signage Web Template
When using Digital Signage Web Template, the source target webpage is displayed within an iframe in the Digital Signage system. Sometimes, however, the webpage will not display in a browser. There are two main reasons why this may happen.
- If the server hosting the webpage you wish to display in the digital signage serves it as http, but the DEVOS server serving the digital signage is https, it will not work. This is because https can be used inside of http, but http cannot be used inside https for security reasons. Browsers like Chrome and others will simply not display the content.
- If the digital signage source web page has a HTTP header called X-Frame-Options with the SAMEORIGIN value, the browser can only be display in a frame on the same origin (same server) as the page itself. The web template digital signage will not work in this case. The solution is to remove this from the web server, but that would require you to have access to the server settings of the page you wish to display in the digital signage template.
It is important to note, however that the Discover Video SignStick does not have this issue, because SignStick does not use iframe to display the web template.
